The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is accepting applications for a copy editor/page designer on its night news copy desk. To be considered, an applicant must have a college degree in journalism, English or related field; know grammar and recognize libelous writing; be able to accurately sum up a story in just a few words for headlines; and be familiar with Associated Press (AP) style.
Applicants brought in for interviews should expect to take copy-editing and headline-writing tests. Experience using Adobe InDesign a must. We’re looking for someone who has a passion for providing accurate, timely information to readers.
