The Norfolk Daily News is now seeking applicants for a full-time job opening in late May. The Daily News, which has an 18-person newsroom including several UNL graduates, anticipates needing to hire an assistant news editor in the coming weeks.
The position involves page design, editing, news judgment, headline writing and video editing responsibilities as part of a four-person news desk team.
The locally owned Daily News publishes a print edition six days a week but also produces content for its website, mobile website, two apps, email blasts and various social media accounts. For the past two years, the Daily News has been honored with the top outstate daily newspaper award in Nebraska.
