Meteorology Intern - News Channel Nebraska (Norfolk, NE)

News Channel Nebraska, an in-state network of television stations operating a 24/7 news channel covering the entire state of Nebraska, has an opening for a high-energy, aggressive, creative and hard-working meteorology student with a good sense of humor. The successful candidate should have the ability to communicate weather information to viewers clearly and effectively.

Nebraska is in the heart of tornado alley. This position involves safely chasing severe weather inside the borders of the state of Nebraska and reporting on that weather as it happens. This is an on-air opportunity. The successful candidate will also deliver in-studio weathercasts on Saturdays and may deliver the weather on any other day when severe weather is not forecasted.

Requirements:
The position will begin as soon as April 15th but no later than May 10th and will end on July 30, 2019. Knowledge of and ability to operate the Accuweather StormDirector+ is helpful. This position is located in Norfolk, Nebraska.
