Social Media and Recruitment Intern - Lincoln Public Schools (Lincoln, NE)

The Social Media and Recruitment Intern at Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) assists the Director of Recruiting with tasks related to sharing the story of our School District and the opportunities to work in one of the best school districts in the nation. The position also helps with writing social media posts, job portal communications, taking photographs, making videos, dealing with web content and various social media platforms; helping to brainstorm and create new recruiting concepts and ideas for communication in print, video and technology.

Performs the following tasks:
> Research/implement and build creative and engaging social media to recruit applicants to LPS.
> Navigate and learn about current social media tools and trends.
> Conduct research, write stories, and take photos throughout the school district for use in recruiting and print publications, and on various social media platforms.
> Write short, descriptive, engaging content for various social media channels and job portals/postings.
> Write copy for recruitment publications, website, emails, marketing, etc.
> Edit and proofread outward facing media.
> Edit, format photos and art for various recruiting and communication mediums.
> Generate story ideas regarding LPS employees.
> Initiate, build and maintain positive relationships with social media influencers.
> Work collaboratively with Human Resources Recruitment and LPS Communications Department.
> Maintain social media network for Human Resources Department.
> Report on and photograph LPS events.
> Create and produce online video/audio.
> Promote LPS recruiting and employment events.
> Other duties as assigned.
