Jessica Shoemaker presented a work in progress at the annual meeting of the Association of Law, Property, and Society in May at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In her paper, “The Land Tenure We Inhabit: Indigenous Property and Power,” Shoemaker considers the unique intersection of property and sovereignty issues in the modern U.S. Indian reservation.
