The Office of Graduate Studies is excited to offer a bootcamp to help graduate students prepare for applying for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program this Fall. The NSF GRFP is a prestigious fellowship program and consists of three years of support during a five-year fellowship period. Currently, the NSF GRFP provides a stipend of $34,000 to the Fellow and a cost-of-education allowance of $12,000 to the graduate degree-granting institution for each Fellow who uses the fellowship support in a fellowship year. These bootcamp sessions will be held Friday Sept 13 and Sept 20 in Burnett 107 from 3-4 pm.

Interested students are strongly encouraged to register before attending the event here: https://go.unl.edu/nsf_grfp_2019.

Please note that students that are eligible to apply for the NSF GRFP students must be:

• A first or second year graduate student or an undergraduate (who is applying to graduate programs for next year). They can only apply once during their time as a graduate student and cannot have completed more than one academic year of graduate coursework before applying.
• They must be a US citizen, national, or permanent resident.
• They must be pursuing a Masters or PhD in an eligible STEM discipline (clinical fields are generally not eligible).

The Full Program Solicitation is available here if you would like to check the eligibility qualifications: https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2019/nsf19590/nsf19590.htm.
