What are you doing Feb. 4-7, 2026? Are you looking to accelerate your progress in improving your secondary mathematics teacher preparation program? Are you thinking about how you can better incorporate data science into your program? Did you know that Portland, Oregon can be a lovely place to visit that time of year?

Join us at the 2026 MTEP Conference, to be held in conjunction with the 2026 AMTE Conference. The purpose of the conference is to build understanding of and engagement in the MTEP 2.0 network in its goal to transform secondary mathematics teacher preparation programs in alignment with the AMTE Standards.

The fun kicks off on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 9:00 a.m. PST with an all-day preconference co-hosted by ESTEEM: Enhancing Data Science and Statistics Teacher Education with E-Modules. The pre-conference will include plenty of time to learn from what others are doing and share your work!

The call for proposals allows for many possible formats, from ignite talks to short presentations to longer panel discussions. The deadline for submissions is Nov. 15, but we encourage you to submit your proposal now.

As the AMTE Conference wraps up, MTEP will also host an extended networking breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 7.

We encourage participants to register by Oct. 15—today!—if requesting travel support. The final deadline to register for in-person attendance will be Nov. 21.
