Have your students ever experienced professional learning where all the conversations were designed for early-career teachers and facilitated by classroom teachers? Where the successes and challenges that they were experiencing were what folks wanted to discuss? If so, you know that is a really special place.

For more than 10 years, Knowles Teacher Initiative has been hosting an Annual Meeting just like that. Secondary math and science teachers across the nation share their classroom practice, what they’ve learned and what they are wondering with others to support community building, sustainability, teaching and learning.

This year, MTEP 2.0 is happy to announce travel scholarships for current students and graduates to attend the Knowles Annual Meeting from July 20-23 in Atlanta, Georgia. This meeting includes a variety of three-day Knowles Academy Courses and the one-day Knowles Teacher Conference. Travel scholarships will include some funds to support transportation to the events, lodging and registration for the Academy courses (July 20-22) and Knowles Teacher Conference (July 23).

Please encourage students who are currently student teaching or finishing their credentialing programs this year to apply. Scholarship applications are due Feb. 28. Additional Information is available in the scholarship application form.

Registration for each Knowles Annual Meeting event is only $50, and attendees can receive a $100 gift card after full participation, so please also share these opportunities with your local teachers.
