UNL students and Campus Rec members are invited to a free talk about training tips for runners and final race preparations from 5 to 6 p.m. April 14 in the Campus Rec Center, room 230.

This presentation is a must-attend for any runner participating in the Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon for the first time just three weeks later on May 4. Marathon runner Christopher Dulak will cover tips about tapering, injuries, stretching, nutrition, clothing, and final details about preparing for race weekend.

Christopher Dulak is the senior assistant director for marketing and communications with UNL Campus Recreation. A former cigarette smoker, he began running competitively in his mid-20s in 5k, 10k and half marathon races. Dulak trained for his first marathon at age 33 and completed 17 marathons within four years. Sidelined by injuries for the second half of 2013, he returns to racing this year with four marathons and a half marathon. His past marathons include Lincoln, Chicago, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Houston, Twin Cities, Seattle, Des Moines, Austin, Hamburg (Germany) and Paris (France).
