From check-ups and routine care to prescriptions and dental exams, the University Health Center offers a wide variety of services to help your student stay well.

If your student has delayed health care appointments these past few months due to the COVID-19 pandemic and their busy schedules, it's time for them to reconnect with a health care provider.

The University Health Center has appointments available and is ready to meet your student’s needs.

Why should they go to the doctor? They’re not sick.
Research shows people are healthier when they see a health care provider for routine and preventive care. We also know that when more students have a relationship with a primary care provider, our Husker community is healthier and stronger overall. Think of it as a form of self-care and a way to protect those around you.

Is it safe to visit?
The health center is going above and beyond to keep patients, staff and the Husker community safe. Because of the safety precautions in place, your student’s experience might look a bit different than in the past. They can prepare by learning what to expect at their next appointment.

Do they have to visit in person?
If they are not ready to venture out in public, we understand. Students can consider connecting with their provider through telehealth. They can participate in a telehealth appointment through the new Nebraska Medicine app. Learn more.

What services do they actually need?
Although much of this depends on their unique situation, certain services are relevant to all students, and we encourage your student to take advantage of them:

If your student is ready to schedule an appointment, have them call the health center at 402.472.5000 or visit our website to learn more.
