Mueller Planetarium at the University of Nebraska State Museum in Morrill Hall has announced its fall schedule, including one new show, "A Starry Tale," which explores a story from Greek mythology on constellations and movement of the sun, moon and planets.

The fall schedule: Thursdays at 7 p.m. -- "Firefall"; Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. -- "A Starry Tale", plus a night sky presentation; and Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. -- "Dream to Fly."

"Firefall" examines the history of comets and asteroids shaping earth's surface. Learn how these invaders from space are capable of both destruction and delivery of organic materials necessary for life (running time 35 minutes).

"A Starry Tale" presents with computer graphics the legend of Astraea, the goddess of justice, who is closely tied with the constellation Libra, the scales. See the world of mythology and human thought handed down from ancient times to the future (35 minutes).

"Dream to Fly" is a poetic and touching story of aviation development through the ages. It presents the significant milestones on our route to conquering the skies -- both in terms of technological breakthroughs and our perceptions of flying itself (35 minutes).

The schedule is subject to change. For more information about fulldome shows, go the planetarium's website, http://www.spacelaser.com, or phone 402-472-2641.
