Katja Koehler-Cole, doctoral student, won first prize at the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Services (MOSES) Organic Farming Conference poster competition, which took place Feb. 26-28 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Her poster was titled "Introducing winter-hardy green manures into organic soybean-winter wheat-corn rotations: Effects on crop yields and weed pressure."
The annual conference, now in its 26th year, attracts more than 3,500 attendees. MOSES is a nonprofit organization that promotes organic and sustainable agriculture by providing the education, resources and expertise farmers need to succeed.
