Career Coaches help students be strategic in their job or internship search.

Instructors can help students seeking part-time jobs on or off campus, internships, and/or volunteer opportunities for the coming academic year by directing them to Handshake or a Career Coach.

Handshake
Handshake is Career Services’ platform through which students can find all types of employment opportunities including jobs after graduation. Students can log in to Handshake from the Career Services website using their UNL credentials, complete or update their profile, and use search criteria to find opportunities of interest. They can also share their resume with potential employers.

Career Coaches
Career Coaches help students one on one with anything related to a job or internship search, including resume updates, targeting application materials, strategically identifying opportunities, interviewing, networking, and more. Career Coaches are available to all UNL students and connecting with one early and often can help students stay on track in their career development. Appointments with Career Coaches can be made in MyPlan. Students can find their Career Coach on the Career Services website.
