The Office of Undergraduate Research is seeking faculty, postdocs, and advanced graduate students from any discipline to serve on the 2022-23 Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experiences (UCARE) selection committee.
Selection committee volunteers support undergraduate research at the university while adding this enriching professional development experience to the university service section of their curriculum vitae.
Each year, committee members review research project proposals from undergraduate students in all disciplines, including sciences, humanities, business, and the arts. Business, fine and performing arts, and humanities readers are especially needed.
Committee volunteers will be assigned no more than 30 applications in their field of expertise (or a closely related field) and will be provided with review training materials.
Between Feb. 23 and March 11, reviewers will read and evaluate proposals through NuRamp at their convenience. Most reviewers average about five or fewer hours to complete the evaluation process.
Sign up by Feb. 18 to review applications. Contact Sonya Irons, director of undergraduate research, at ucare@unl.edu for additional information.
