When students, parents, and other stakeholders ask where UNL students go after they graduate, faculty can consult or direct them to data from Career Services' First Destination Survey, which are reported on the Student Outcomes page of its website.

The FDS, which includes employed (non-military), continuing education, volunteering, and serving in the military, can be sorted by college and major. In addition to top employers, the top education destinations of students are identified by college. The Student Outcomes dashboard is available to the public and provides data since 2014-15. Only aggregate information is shown.

Graduating students (undergraduate and graduate level as well as students in certificate programs) are surveyed one month prior to graduation, and at the three-, six-, and nine-month marks afterward to capture data regarding their plans upon completing their degree.

Encouraging graduating students to complete this survey helps strengthen the university's data.
