
An important step for prospective undergraduate researchers in finalizing their UCARE application is submitting a written project proposal. All proposals for the 2026-27 Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experiences program are due Feb. 10. Encourage students to make use of these resources as they develop their project roadmaps.
- UCARE Writing Workshop Recording - Part 1 – Focuses on brainstorming a research topic, as well as utilizing tools to assist with idea generation and development. Recording available online.
- UCARE Writing Workshop Recording - Part 2 – Focuses on the elements of a successful proposal, as well as a deep-dive into the evaluation rubric. Written details about the proposal and evaluation process can also be found on the UCARE website. Recording available after January 13.
- UCARE Deadline Drop-In Hours – Feb. 6, 9, 10 from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. in Nebraska Union room 225.
Students interested in the program can create an application by logging into NuRamp and selecting UCARE from the drop-down menu. To be eligible for UCARE support, applicants must be full-time, degree-seeking undergraduates with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and have between 30 to 120 credit hours by May 2026. Students from all majors and disciplines are welcome.
