UCARE mentor and student
UCARE mentor and student

If you plan to engage undergraduate student researchers and scholars in a project in the coming year, consider serving as a UCARE mentor. The UCARE program will be accepting applications for AY 17-18 from February 6 – March 3. UCARE recipients make a full year commitment to work with a faculty mentor on research and creative activities. Undergraduate students apply for UCARE after identifying a faculty member and project. Funding goes directly to the student, who commits to engaging in 10 hours per week of hands-on learning and research throughout the academic year. Students from all majors are disciplines are encouraged to apply.

There is no cost to serve as a mentor. All student funding is provided by the UCARE program. Faculty may identify students who they would like to work with and encourage them to apply for UCARE, or interested students may contact faculty directly to inquire about opportunities. If you are interested in serving as a mentor in the coming year and would like help identifying prospective student researchers, contact Justina Clark, director of undergraduate research, at jclark17@unl.edu.
