The next event in the IDEA Diversity Series is the "Live Action: Teaching Diversity Courses on the Front Lines" panel discussion featuring faculty from Ethnic Studies and moderated by Isabel Velázquez on April 15 from 4 to 5 p.m. in Andrews Hall - Bailey Library. All are welcome.

The College of Arts and Sciences will be starting a new college distribution requirement in fall 2020 titled “Human Diversity in United States Communities.” Students will satisfy this requirement by drawing on the wide array of diversity-focused classes offered in the humanities and social sciences.

In preparation for the increasing the number of students and the varied backgrounds of students enrolling in these courses, the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Committee is hosting a series of workshops, presentations, and discussions. Instructors across campus are invited to join us to discuss issues that arise in classrooms that explicitly address diversity.
