U-Wide staff presidents began building a relationship through regular meetings via teleconferencing, which resulted in face-to-face meetings throughout the year.

UAAD was requested to participate in the HLC Reaccreditation process and I was invited to attend UNL committee meetings. The site visit provided an opportunity to articulate the purpose of UAAD and how we provide a voice for staff at UNL.

President Bounds visited with staff, faculty and student presidents about his plans to form Budget Response Teams and at that time requested representation of all of us on either response teams or the steering committee. Our regular monthly meetings took us to various departments through the year and afforded us the opportunity see, firsthand, all the great things going on at our campus and meeting people who are leading us in exciting efforts to make us a great Big 10 University Continue reading…
UAAD members were provided many opportunities this year to enhance awareness of and reach out to resources in our community. Donations were collected for People’s City Mission, Capital Humane Society, Lincoln City Libraries Makerspace Initiative, OpeN Shelf, and Matt Talbot Kitchen.. Continue reading…

The UAAD Connect committee was able to have enough individuals volunteer as "ambassadors" to assist in welcoming new members this year.
