President Bounds visited with staff, faculty and student presidents about his plans to form Budget Response Teams and at that time requested representation of all of us on either response teams or the steering committee. I represented UAAD, and was requested by the President to serve on the Human Resources/Payroll BRT.
The UAAD Board decided to conduct a member survey since we had not canvassed our membership in approximately 20 years. We had the results statistically analyzed by Social/Behavioral Science Research Consortium and will utilize the valuable results going forward in developing direction and goals of our staff association.
Chancellor Green accepted an invitation to a special UAAD meeting in which the results of the survey were shared previously with him. UNOPA members were invited; thus, affording all staff association members at UNL to have the opportunity to ask questions of the Chancellor.
