Social Media and PR Intern - Speedway Motors, Inc. (Lincoln, NE)

Who Will Be the Right Fit:
We are looking for a bright, curious Social Media & PR Intern ready to dive into the day-to-day at a large eCommerce company. Apply if you can bring adaptability and a positive outlook to millions of followers and customers every day. We'll provide excellent team support, relevant experience, and interesting work. You’ll bring your skills to monitor social channels, pull data, gather industry research, and assist in managing our influencer program.

Here’s what you’ll work on:
> Schedule social media posts.
> Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through management software.
> Use social listening tools to monitor and measure engagement.
> Pull data and track metrics for our social media presence.
> Research and implement industry trends in social media.
> Build paid social media advertisements.
> Assist in developing, launching, and maintaining a social media influencer program.
> Collaborate with our marketing team to help create content that aligns with our social media strategies.
> Post content (how-to articles, videos, etc.) in the Toolbox, Speedway Motors’ automotive blog.
> Other marketing project work as needed.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
> This job works in a home office environment using routine office equipment: computer, phone, etc.
> Rare walking, bending and twisting.
> Use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.

What we’re looking for:
> Attaining a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in marketing or a similar field.
> You possess great problem-solving skills.
> You have the ability to create, nurture, and grow professional relationships.
> You are highly organized and mindful of deadlines, solution-oriented.
> You are able to balance multiple projects and the demands of a fast-paced environment.
> Careful attention to detail and capable of achieving independent oversight.
> Excellent English language writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
> Fluent in Windows operating system and experience with Microsoft Office is a must.
> Understanding of social media metrics and best practices desired.
> Bonus points if you’re a car person or possess automotive knowledge.
> A reliable internet source will be a must for working remotely.
> Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
