Are you pursuing a career in advertising, public relations or journalism at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln? Join the NUtech Ventures team at Nebraska Innovation Campus! We patent research inventions and license them to companies, where they’re one step closer to becoming products that impact society.
In this role, you’ll be working with our team of marketing, technology and operations managers to develop communications and marketing content. As needed, you will also assist with general office operations, including event planning and other outreach opportunities. Sample projects include: social media writing and scheduling; marketing database management; conducting interviews and writing content; market research; promoting events and content through campus internal channels.
We’re looking for the following:
> Self-motivated students: We encourage you to bring new ideas to the table, learn new skills and take ownership of projects.
> Team players: We’re a small team and work cross-functionally to get things done.
> Well organized and detail-oriented: Someone who enjoys a variety of projects and can follow through to ensure completion.
> Experience in copy writing: Our projects include writing for websites, social media, email newsletters and event promotion.
> It’s a bonus if you have experience in: graphic design, DSLR video and photography, or Associated Press style writing (news articles, feature stores).
What you’ll get:
> A yearlong internship that pays $10/hour. The internship is 10 hours/week in the summer and academic year, with a flexible schedule.
