The UNL Center for Science, Mathematics & Computer Education (CSMCE) is looking to hire a student to fill the role of Undergraduate Coordinator for the All Girls All Math (AGAM) Online Summer Camp 2021.
Work with the staff in CSMCE on the following:
> Collect and compile online application files
> Communicate with applicants and parents (email and by phone)
> Prepare and update online documents for camp
> Act as Zoom chaperone and host with students throughout camp, including class times and evening networking activities (July 11-17, 2021)
> Other CSMCE office duties as assigned, including tasks for the faculty teaching online graduate mathematics courses for K-12 teachers
Requirements:
> Self-starter with passion for organization and clear communication.
> Strong written and oral communication skills.
> Some experience with hosting Zoom meetings.
> Team player attitude, demonstrated by being flexible, curious and asking questions.
> Preferred: junior standing.
Work period / March 15 - July 23, 2021:
> 5-10 hours per week from March to mid-May
> 25-40 hours per week from mid-May to July 23 (or so)
Work location: Remotely and Center for Science, Mathematics & Computer Education (CSMCE), Avery 251 if needed.
Internship pays $10 per hour for work from March to July 11 (and again after the camp) and $15 per hour for the week of the camp (July 11-17).
