Communications Internship - Nebraska Tourism Commission (Lincoln, NE)

The ideal candidate would have a passion for public service and enjoy a variety of projects including creating social media content and calendars, writing press releases, email marketing, assisting with media tours, administrative duties, data entry, database and website updating and other projects as assigned, to assist Commission staff in marketing the state of Nebraska to travelers. This position is involved with regular status meetings with contracted agency vendors including web development, content management, advertising/media planning and public relations - selected candidate will experience all aspects of the integrated marketing and communications spectrum from PR to advertising.

This is a part time internship with flexible hours. Typical hours worked are approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, between the hours of 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Plenty of flexibility around class/school activity schedules. Internship is for 1 year or more, ending upon candidate graduation date.

The NTC administers programs with the goal to attract an increasing number of visitors to Nebraska and further the use of travel and tourism facilities in Nebraska.
