Social Media Intern - Nebraska Diamond

Duties:
1) Social Media Community Management
1. Assist with streamlining company social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest), ensuring uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements within the communities.
2. Increase the number of followers we have on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest by following and engaging with potential clients.
3. Monitoring and replying to posts from clients (initially under supervision from the COO)
4. Posting on a regular basis (both item and industry-related) on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest in line with the established plan.

2) Coordinating and Distributing Content
1. Working with staff members to establish content ideas for the month ahead, and to plan for a monthly social media calendar.
2. Repurpose content from other sources for our own social media channels (and understand how to change the tone of the content for each channel).
3. Create original content using photography, video or graphics for the different platforms in line with the established plan.

3) Understanding and monitoring social media analytics
1. Work with the COO to build monthly reporting tools on social media analytics and performance against our 'baseline targets.'

Key Skills Required for the Role: Proven written communication skills. An interest in marketing, communications, social media, graphic design or reputation management; Familiarity with key social media tools (e.g. Instagram and Facebook) and with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel); An ability to consistently demonstrate our values of insight, hard work, and effectiveness in your personal approach to work; An entrepreneurial attitude; Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn; An ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times and minimal fuss; The ability to work collaboratively with a team; and The ability to think creatively and innovatively with an eye for graphics and media that will interest our clients and get them to engage.

Internship Duration: Mid-May through the end of August with the potential to continue through December (and further).

Time Commitment: Approx 5 hours/week. Schedule will be agreed upon by the COO and the hired candidate and the time will be worked at some point Sunday-Thursday between 12pm-5pm (potentially split between days).

Compensation: $10/hr
