Professor Jo Potuto, past president of 1A FAR (Faculty Athletic Representatives for NCAA Division 1A institutions), was honored with the Exemplary Service Award from 1A FAR at the 1A Far and LEAD 1 annual meeting. This award is the highest honor the organization can bestow and has only been awarded to four other individuals.
Professor Potuto spent some time teaching away from Nebraska Law. She taught two classes as a Visiting Professor at the Oregon Sports Law Institute. She also was a guest lecturer in a Baylor Law College Sports Law class.
In late October, in Chicago, Professor Potuto gave a presentation on Risk Management to the Athletic Services Administrators from the 14 Big Ten Universities.
