On September 19, 2018, the Jornal do Comercio (“Journal of Commerce”), one of the most important business journals in the south of Brazil, published an interview with Professor Brian Lepard about the 2017 Tax Cut and Jobs Act and its implications for Brazil and Brazilians. The article was entitled “Expert Identifies the Principal Features of the New North American Tax Law.” (An online version of the article is available here.)
On October 20, 2018 Professor Lepard chaired a panel at International Law Weekend at Fordham Law School in New York City. The theme of the panel was “How Customary International Law Matters in Protecting Human Rights.”
In November 2018 the online journal American Journal of International Law Unbound published an article by Professor Lepard entitled “Customary International Law: A Third World Perspective’: Reflections in Light of an Approach to CIL Based on Fundamental Ethical Principles.”
