COMAP’s 2022 International Math Modeling Contests
Undergraduate and high school students of all disciplines are invited to register for COMAP’s 2022 International Math Modeling Contests. The Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM)® and the Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (ICM)® feature problems in continuous and discrete mathematics, data science, sustainability, operations research, network science, and policy. Students apply their modeling, problem solving, and writing skills to successfully complete the problem, to earn a prestigious designation, and to possibly win one of the $10,000 scholarship awards.
There is a 5 step process to register and prepare for the MCM/ICM Contest outlined at https://www.comap.com/undergraduate/contests/steps/index.html. In past years, the Math Club has developed one or more teams to participate in the MCM/ICM Contest under the advising of a Math faculty member.
The actual registration process starts at https://www.comap.com/undergraduate/contests/mcm/register.php. The MCM/ICM registration process has been streamlined and split in to 2 parts Advisor Registration and Team Registration. Any advisor who wishes to sponsor teams in the 2022 MCM/ICM contest must register via this online system no later than 3pm EST on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
