NASA's High-Altitude Balloon Program
Greetings Everybody,
We wanted to make you aware of an upcoming opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to learn more about careers within NASA that focus on high-altitude ballooning. Folks from NASA’s Scientific Balloon Program Office will be hosting a virtual presentation about high-altitude ballooning on Wednesday, December 1, from 1:00–2:00 PM CT. This presentation will be specifically geared toward college students who are interested in high-altitude ballooning. However, students do not need to have any prior high-altitude balloon experience to attend.
The hour-long program will be moderated by Dr. Joyce Winterton (Senior Advisor for Education and Leadership Development), while the presentation itself will be given by Sarah Roth (Chief Technologist with the NASA Balloon Program Office). Participants will also hear from Patricia Benner (NASA Wallops Flight Facility Education Specialist) about available NASA internships.
See the flyer available here for information on how to join via Microsoft Teams.
Thanks all and have a Happy Thanksgiving break!
