Employer Information: NeighborWorks Lincoln revitalizes neighborhoods and supports homeownership, keeping Lincoln a safe and prosperous community. They encourage better neighborhoods by empowering strong resident leadership through collaboration with city department and community partners; facilitating sustainable homeownership through homebuyer education and assistance; and developing desirable housing for economically diverse clientele in Lincoln’s core neighborhoods.

Volunteer opportunities available: Projects will include litter clean-up, graffiti clean-up, landscaping, planting trees, mural painting, block parties, voter registration, mulching, and yard maintenance. These volunteer opportunities will be available throughout the year and projects can be tailored to fit any individual or group

Date: Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021 | Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Employer Information: Friendship Home helps victims of domestic violence find physical and emotional safety. Offering possibilities to help change their lives when things are at their worst - to be the hope they can feel.

Volunteer opportunities available: Opportunities include volunteering as a Children’s Advocate spending Monday and Tuesday evenings with children while parents attend group meetings. There are also opportunities to help clean the building, decorate units for new families moving in, and organize donations. They have two special events during the year – Stuff the Bus and Safe Quarters.

Employer Information: The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Volunteer opportunities available: Big Brothers Big Sisters Lincoln connects our community's youth – “Littles” – with caring mentors – “Bigs” – to help youth thrive through mentorship. The program provides free year-round mentoring services for children and youth ages 7-16, by connecting them with an adult mentor role model aged 19+. Big/Little matches meet 3-4 times per month for a minimum one-year commitment to establish and grow a mentoring relationship.
