Massage Therapy Awareness Week, Oct. 21–27

Massage Therapy at UNL Campus Recreation will host several on-campus events this week, including free chair massages and a drawing for two free 60-minute massages. The celebration is a part of the 16th annual Massage Therapy Awareness Week.

Massage Therapy Awareness Week is a nationwide effort to increase public awareness of the benefits of therapeutic massage for people of all ages. During the week, UNL faculty, students and staff, as well as Campus Rec members, will be able to sample some of the services available through the Massage Therapy program at the Rec Center. Licensed massage therapists from Campus Rec will be at the following locations throughout the week:

• FREE CHAIR MASSAGES
Oct. 23 | 11 a.m.–1 p.m. | Fleming Fields Annex Building (the temporary East Campus fitness center)

• SPA FOOT TREATMENT DEMO
Oct. 25 | 11 a.m.–1 p.m. | Campus Rec Center, Atrium

UNL Campus Rec will also conduct a drawing for two free 60-minute massages – one going to a faculty, staff or Campus Rec member and the other to a UNL student. Those interested can enter the drawing at any of the events listed above or by visiting Injury Prevention and Care at the UNL Rec Center on city campus throughout the week.
