This fall, Academic Technologies is providing several training and learning opportunities to the UNL campus for faculty and staff.

Academic Technologies Learning Series
Last semester’s popular Academic Technologies Lecture Series has been rebranded as the Academic Technologies Learning Series. Each week, members of the team will present about a different popular academic technology service on campus. From YuJa sessions to the basics of SharePoint/OneDrive and even some presentations from a few of our most popular technology vendors (Adobe, Perusall, and TurnItIn), these trainings will have something for everyone.

Lecture series opportunities begin with:

  • VidGrid is Gone, What Do I Do Next? Aug. 29, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. – Participants will get a demonstration of how to use the basic features of YuJa, UNL's replacement platform for VidGrid. Register online.

  • Canvas Hacks Sept. 5, 2-3 p.m. – Learn some Canvas "hacks" and secrets to make your user experience as an instructor even better. Register online.

  • Course Evaluations Sept. 11, 3-4 p.m. – Covered in this first of two course evaluation related sessions will be mid-semester evaluations and how evaluations work for teams of teachers. Register online.

  • YuJa Advanced Sept. 19, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. – A representative from YuJa will be covering topics for advanced users, including how to edit a video, how to create a YuJa quiz, and how to use YuJa analytics. Register online.

All sessions will be recorded and made available online in the UNL Academic Technologies Shared Folder on YuJa.
