Student Life will host a Campus Connections Workshop "Navigating the Gray: Supporting Students with Mental Health Struggles" open to all instructors. The workshop will be offered on two dates and registration is required. The content of each session will be the same.
Instructors are encouraged to attend one of these informative sessions to gain valuable insights and strategies for supporting students' mental health needs.
- Feb. 13 in-person from 3-4 p.m. at the Nebraska Union, Platte River Room. Register online.
- Feb. 19 virtual via Zoom from 3-4 p.m. Register online.
The workshop will focus on the growing challenge of supporting students with mental health concerns. Attendees will receive an overview of the available resources at Counseling and Psychological Services and Services for Students with Disabilities. In addition to addressing student challenges, the session will also cover when and how to refer a student to appropriate services.

- The increase in the mental health needs on college campuses
- Attendance concerns
- Student disclosures of their conditions
- Managing additional time demands effectively
