The Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships has many opportunities to get involved with students interested in research and creative activity.

UCARE Applications Due Feb. 12
UCARE applications are open through NuRamp and are due Feb. 12. Instructors are encouraged to refer undergraduates in any major who are interested in conducting original research or creative projects to apply. Kali Patterson, project coordinator and lead advisor, will host day-long drop-in hours Feb. 10-12 in the Nebraska Union, Room 225 to answer any last-minute questions. Learn more about the program.

Call for UCARE Application Reviewers
UNL faculty, postdocs, graduate students, and staff who hold a master’s degree or higher are eligible to review UCARE applications. In early March, reviewers will be assigned to no more than 15 applications in their field of expertise (or a closely related field) and will be provided with review training materials. Most reviewers average five or fewer hours to complete the evaluation process. The deadline for reviewers to submit their evaluations in NuRamp is March 31. Sign up using the online volunteer form.

Student Research Days
The annual Student Research Days poster sessions and creative exhibitions are April 15-16. Encourage students to register and present their work during the undergraduate session from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. each day. Judges are also needed for the presentations. Sign up using the online judge volunteer form.
