
This spring, the Center for Transformative Teaching provides innovative and practical learning opportunities for faculty and staff. From learning communities to AI-focused workshops, the programming offers a range of resources to enhance teaching and foster collaboration. Registration is available online.
Teaching grant applications focused on accessibility, learning analytics, and artificial intelligence will be accepted until Feb. 1. The maximum award for each grant is $1,000. All faculty, including lecturers and graduate students, who will be teaching at least one class in fall 2025 or spring 2026 are eligible to apply for one of three types of grants: pedagogic intervention, incubation fund, and student-faculty collaboration. AI Learning Community
Dive into the evolving role of artificial intelligence in higher education with the AI Learning Community. Each session, led by UNL instructors who have successfully integrated AI into their courses, provides a platform for sharing lessons learned and exploring AI’s potential and limitations. Join this supportive community to exchange ideas and develop strategies for leveraging AI in your teaching. Sessions meet on second and fourth Fridays of the month from 12-1 p.m. beginning Jan. 31.
Inclusive Teaching Learning Community
Explore practical strategies to promote equity in the classroom with the Inclusive Teaching Learning Community. Participants will read and discuss Inclusive Teaching: Strategies for Promoting Equity in the College Classroom by Hogan and Sathy, focusing on syllabus language, classroom activities, assessments, and group work. Meetings are on the first and third Thursday of the month from 2-3 p.m. starting Feb. 6.
