The ARISE Team, of Innovative Instructional Design and the ARISE Faculty Advisory Board, is excited to announce that registration is open for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 ARISE program offering, “Learning by Design.” Faculty from fourteen STEM departments from across the University have participated in a variety of peer educational opportunities offered through the three-year NSF-funded ARISE program. We hope you will join us and a growing learning community, as we continue to extend and institutionalize the program’s gains. Over 6 weekly meetings, “Learning by Design” will take a comprehensive look at course design and acquaint participants with the evidenced-based backward-design approach along with specific high-impact instructional techniques.

The 90-minute sessions are held on Fridays, from 11:00-12:30. Session location depends on where the majority of participants are located.

Dates for the Fall series: September 14, 28, October 12, 26, November 2, 16
Dates for the Spring series: February 1, 15, March 1, 15, 29, April 5
