This time-limited internship position will assist in all aspects of marketing and promoting NC State University’s NCAA Division I 23-sport athletics program. The candidates will serve as the primary marketing contact for assigned sports and secondary contact for additional sports.
This position will be responsible for developing marketing, ticketing, advertising, social media and promotional plans for designated sports and managing the individual sports budgets; works with the Creative Services team on cohesive branding and creative for marketing materials; works with Video and Broadcast Services to create in-game and advertising video elements. Assists with implementing social media strategies, campaigns and presence on social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social applications as needed.
This position will be responsible to work and lead gameday production for various sports. Works directly with a number of departments on campus and within athletics, including the coaching staffs to develop marketing plans and season campaigns. This position will also be required to recruit and manage the game day student volunteer staff. This position is an opportunity to gain exposure to all facets of collegiate athletic administration (i.e. compliance, facilities, event management, game operations, the Wolfpack Club).
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a graduation date no later than May 2020. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop.
The ability to work a non-standard work week including nights, weekends & holidays. A highly motivated, goal and team-oriented individual looking for career experience in college athletics; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; computer skills and knowledge.
Preferred: Prior athletic marketing experience, Adobe Creative Suite skills, audio/video-editing skills, social media, and public relations experience preferred.
