The Omaha World-Herald Metro/Regional Editor, Connie White, will be on campus Thursday, March 5, 2020, to interview students for the Fall 2020 Real World Fellowships.
Three (3) fellowships are available: a photographer, a news reporter (must be able to work Saturdays) and a sports reporter to help with Husker football coverage. This semester-long fellowship is 20 hours of work per week, scheduled around the selected candidate(s) class schedule(s). The position will be based largely working with the World-Herald's Lincoln bureau, with some travel to Omaha or for assignment.
*Qualifications: completion of Real World class by start of fellowship. Completion of Beginning Reporting course. Ideally, previous journalism internship.
Compensation: minimum wage for hours worked; three hours' class credit, tuition-paid; and a $2,500 stipend after successful conclusion of the semester.
