A Nebraska Extension team recently received an Educational Aids Blue Ribbon Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers in the Comprehensive Publications category: Water Lessons for Preschoolers. The award recognizes exceptional contributions to agricultural and biological engineering subjects outside of the traditional classroom setting. Team members included Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County staff members Jaci Foged, Becky Schuerman and Karen Wedding. The hands-on curriculum was created to support preschool children’s learning about water quality, wetlands and streams. It is available online at https://child.unl.edu/water-lessons-preschoolers.
