Professor Shoemaker continues her visit as the Fulbright Canada Research Chair in Aboriginal Legal and Resource Rights at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law this year. She is researching and writing on Indigenous land tenure systems with a comparative focus. In December, she gave a public lecture about her ongoing work in Canada at the University of Alberta's Fulbright signing ceremony event.
