Professor Thimmesch presented at the Kentucky Law Journal Symposium, Intermeddlers or Innovators? States and Federal Copyright Law, in October. Thimmesch presented his essay, Consuming the Benefits of Copyright, which evaluates the sources and costs of multistate tax complexity for those engaged in the creation and distribution of copyrighted works.
Professor Thimmesch also presented the keynote address at the 2019 Open Sky Legislative Symposium in January. His presentation focused on several tax issues that will be brought before the Nebraska legislature this year.
Thimmesch was recently appointed to the Executive Committee of the Tax Section of the American Association of Law Schools.
