Women’s Week 2014
“Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment."
March 13-21

Each year, the Women’s Center, in collaboration with many different student organizations, academic and administrative departments, and community groups, hosts and organizes Women’s Week, a week-long series of events in March to celebrate Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day.

This year, four women from the Law College were chosen for their contributions to women’s issues. Caitlyn Cedfeldt, Ciera Coleman, Hanna Putz are being recognized as Women of Character, Courage and Commitment. Professor Beth Burkstrand-Reid will receive the Chancellor's Outstanding Contribution to Women Award. All three were recognized for their efforts to create a climate that encourages women to succeed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and demonstrates a sustained and tangible impact on the campus community.

Caitlin, Hannah and Ciara will be featured in the display "Celebrating Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment" in the Rotunda Gallery in the Nebraska Union during Women's Week which runs March 17-21. Professor Burkstrand-Reid will be recognized by Chancellor Perlman and the Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women.
