The Center for Transformative Teaching offers a wide variety of resources, professional development opportunities, and events for instructors this fall.

With the fall semester back in full swing, the Center for Transformative Teaching has several opportunities, resources, and upcoming events for instructors.

Teaching Support Network
The CTT is excited to announce the Teaching Support Network, comprised of two dozen UNL instructors who are willing to offer input into specific teaching challenges and provide peer teaching support.

Instructors who would like to receive support from members of the network or want to learn more, can visit the Teaching Support Network website.

Aspirational Teaching Institute
The Aspirational Teaching Institute is a semester-long program designed to help instructors tackle a major teaching challenge. The institute is designed as if it were a course, with bi-weekly synchronous sessions, instructional materials, and targeted support and feedback.

The fall semester’s topic is “Striving for Inclusive Excellent in Education.” Those interested in joining the institute can learn more at the ATI website.

Reflective Practitioner Program
The CTT is recruiting instructors for the Ambassador level of the Reflective Practitioner Program. Ambassadors are instructors who have a well-developed sense of their approach to teaching. Instead of focusing on broadening their own general pedagogical knowledge, CTT Ambassadors are expected to share their expertise with other instructors across the university.

"Serving as a CTT Ambassador is a great way to network with other instructors, as well as help you bolster your teaching portfolio,” said Brian Wilson, senior instructional designer with the CTT.

Completion of the program also grants you access to exclusive CTT teaching grants. To find out more about the program and register, visit the RPP website.

Developing a Teaching Portfolio Workshop
The CTT will be hosting "Developing a Teaching Portfolio," which will give participants an opportunity to ask questions of colleagues and facilitators, as well as give and receive feedback. The sessions will be held synchronously on Zoom on Oct. 12 and Dec. 19. Those interested can attend one or both sessions. Learn more and register at the workshop page.

Learning Communities
Learning Communities are a chance for instructors to meet throughout the year to discuss books, articles, lectures, and other relevant teaching and learning topics. The CTT will provide books to those interested in participating.

Learn more about this year’s upcoming opportunities on the Learning Communities webpage.
