Inclusive Teaching Strategies that Foster an Anti-racist Classroom
Join Instructional Designers Abby Mitchell, Amy Ort and Steven Cain for Inclusive Teaching Strategies that Foster an Anti-racist Classroom on Jan. 27 as part of the MLK event series on campus. This workshop will consider the various power dynamics encountered both inside and outside the classroom context, how those impact student learning, and strategies for disrupting those power systems in the classroom.
Creating an Inclusive Classroom for Neurodivergent Students
The following month interested participants can join Instructional Designer Brian Wilson for Creating an Inclusive Classroom for Neurodivergent Students on Feb. 27. This workshop will discuss the fundamentals of neurodivergence, explore the ways in which neurodivergence may impact the learning experiences of students, and identify teaching strategies that support the strengths of neurodivergent learners.
Supporting International Students' Academic Success Series
Instructors can also register for the upcoming Supporting International Students' Academic Success Series, which will host the first panel, Student Voices: What International Students Want Instructors to Know, Feb. 21.
Other sessions in the series are Campus Support Services: Observations from Staff Providing International Students Support on March 21 and Instructor Voices: Lessons Learned About Effectively Teaching International Students on April 18.
