Library Research Skills: Search Like a Pro by Melissa Gomis, associate professor of practice. This Canvas module helps learners explore the Libraries' online environment and will help you find, evaluate, and use the best information for your academic work.
Systematic, Scoping, Rapid, and Systematized Reviews, What’s the Difference? by Elle Covington, assistant professor. This video discusses the similarities and differences between these evidence synthesis methodologies and offers guidance on when you might want to use one over the other.
Essentials of Data Management and Creating Your Plan: Information for Graduate Students from UNL Libraries by Leslie Delserone, professor and Melissa Gomis, associate professor of practice. This Canvas module introduces learners to the basics and importance of good data management in research, and the fundamentals for developing a data management plan. It will be piloted in the Biological Systems Engineering graduate seminar this fall.
Managing Citations and Documents with Zotero by Erica DeFrain, associate professor. This video introduces Zotero and reference and citation management software in general, goes over some reasons for why you should or should not use Zotero, covers an installation walk through specifically for UNL users, and briefly demonstrates how to use Zotero and its Microsoft Word plugin. Additional Zotero workshops are scheduled on the Research Data Events calendar.
