I think this class will be of interest, and timed perfectly, as we bring the importance of supply chain management to life. The class will dive into the preparations for Christmas – and all the supply chain work that is happening behind the scenes to get the “best selling toys” along with other stocking stuffers on the shelves in the right quantities. To have this class during the month of December will also help them see much of what we study first-hand.
My goal for students in this class is to receive practical supply chain knowledge and have a better understanding of how supply chain management and logistics play an important role in the delivering much of what we use for the holidays (presents, food, etc). I would like them to gain confidence in their critical thinking capabilities and I want them to also understand that supply chain management knowledge is applicable to them, even if it isn’t their major.
