FDST 396-113 Food Business Entrepreneurship

This course will be led by Dr. Terry Howell (16 years of food company R&D experience) and Food Processing Center (FPC) staff members, Jill Gifford and Bethany Jackson, who have educated hundreds of entrepreneurs about the items needed to get a product or company off the ground. It is open to all majors, and anyone who is curious about the process will find useful elements to put in practice. After being exposed to an overview of the regulatory processes, students will walk through how to identify trends in the marketplace. The student output from this class will be the basics of a small business plan to launch a food product of their choosing.
