Nebraska Public Media is looking for a professional who will be responsible for shooting single camera video productions along with editing. Position will also be responsible for operating Broadcast Graphics systems during remote sports productions and studio production.
Minimum qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Broadcasting or related field plus two years combined professional or educational experience; equivalent education/experience will be considered. Ability to set up and operate an EFP camera on a tripod with proper lighting. Non-linear editing. Knowledge: A working knowledge of a cross-section of production tools including television cameras, computer graphics, editing systems, lighting and audio equipment. Knowledge of a multiple video formats and range of production techniques from very simple to moderately complex. Skills: Basic computer skills; Editing skills; Computer graphic skills. Abilities: Ability to set up and operate an EFP camera on a tripod with proper lighting.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting or related field. Experience in multi-camera studio, remote, and computer graphics or equivalent. Interest and knowledge of televised sports productions, especially scores and statistics. Experience operating VisRt or Chyron graphics systems. Ability to make decisions under pressure. Ability to interact with clients and the public in a diplomatic, professional, and credible way.
