Marketing & Communications Intern - UNL Business Career Center (Lincoln, NE)

The Business Career Center is seeking a creative, strategic Marketing & Communications Intern to support communication and outreach efforts. While helping us promote careers events, resources, and employers, the intern also benefits by working with talented professionals who can help you with your own career development.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Marketing & Communications Intern, you will be expected to fulfill a year commitment. The intern will:
> Write content for weekly newsletters using professional and concise language while generating topics with Business Career Center staff
> Create graphics using UNL brand standards for weekly newsletters and College of Business digital signage
> Brainstorm and implement creative ways to promote events to employers and students
> Use marketing analytics to develop marketing plans in collaboration with supervisor and College of Business
> Contribute to Husker Connect reporting and data management
> Develop surveys, analyze data, and produce infographics
> Identify and suggest content changes for the Business Career Center website
> Develop print/web content
> Support with events and programs
> Assist with the College of Business’s social media efforts when needed and may include Instagram takeover stories
> Serve as an ambassador of the Business Career Center

Qualifications:
> Demonstrate excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication, including accurate spelling and grammar
> Be able to work independently, take initiative and solve problems
> Demonstrate teamwork and detail-oriented skills
> Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
> Able to use Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office programs; experience with other graphic design programs may be substituted for Adobe Creative Suite
> Be a current UNL student in good academic standing
> Available to work 8-12 hours a week during the 2021-2022 academic year between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday- Friday

Compensation:
Students will receive an hourly rate of $11.50.
