News Student Worker - Nebraska Public Media (Lincoln, NE)

Nebraska Public Media News seeks a student worker for a position focused on radio news and digital news journalism. The successful candidate will produce news stories to air on Nebraska Public Media Radio and possibly be featured on the Nebraska Public Media News website and social media channels. The student could be asked to pitch, interview, produce and write these stories. Students ideally will be a junior or senior in good academic standing and have completed at least two journalism courses. They will be expected to stay abreast of current events and to follow Nebraska Public Media News content on radio, television, online and social media.

One paid position is available for the fall of 2021. Students will work with Nebraska Public Media News reporters and producers and receive instruction on best practices and hands-on training on producing stories for multiple platforms. Students may be asked to work flexible hours. Students must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
